In Key Stage 3 pupils are taught in their tutor groups by the same member of staff.  In Key stages 4 and 5 pupils are given the option of choosing which activity pathway they want to opt into and will be taught in such groups.  The only change to this is with year 10 PE as all GCSE students have been grouped together to complete their Sports Leaders Level 1 qualification as the GCSE syllabus covers much of the required course content.

During their GCSE. or other post-14 courses, pupils will, under normal circumstances, remain with the same specialist teacher(s) for the duration of the course.

In addition to the four PE specialist there are also a number of staff from other curriculum areas who assist in the delivery of PE / Games.  Support is given to these members of staff through team teaching with a specialist PE teacher as well as through lesson observations and feedback.  Where possible these additional staff will teach an area of the curriculum which is considered to be a strength of theirs as well as giving them the opportunity to teach other areas of the curriculum.
